In her early 20s, Elizabeth Woning “came out” as a lesbian and embraced the LGBTQ community. She attended a Presbyterian (USA) seminary openly lesbian, but upon graduating, an encounter with Jesus dramatically shifted her perspective. Over time, her relationship with God led to transformation and healing. Today Elizabeth is free of same-sex attraction and happily married to her husband, Doug. She teaches at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and is a member of the Moral Revolution team. Her ministry highlights the power of intimate relationship with and knowledge of God to bring identity, wholeness and fulfillment. She is passionate to provide consulting to church leaders as they navigate the complexities of sexual and gender identity in our culture. Elizabeth holds a master’s degree in theology and is a licensed pastor at Bethel Church.

Ken Williams

Ken Williams began a pursuit of his true sexual identity in 1987 when his battle against homosexuality grew into intentions of suicide.  After many unsuccessful years of searching, Ken had some encounters with God and experienced healing of childhood trauma, forged a deep intimacy with God, and began resonating with his masculine identity.  Today, Ken helps others do the same, and he serves Moral Revolution full-time as an author, lecturer, and minister.  Ken also holds a B. S. in Marketing/Finance, has been a pastor at Bethel Church (Redding, CA) since 2006, and is a co-founder of Equipped to Love (a ministry to those impacted by homosexuality).  His greatest joys are his beautiful wife, their four incredible children, and seeing people find and manifest their true selves.

Even though Ken Williams was raised in a conservative Christian church and by parents who loved him, he wrestled for decades with his sexual identity and unwanted same-sex attraction. Until the Lord broke into his life to create a vibrant and intimate connection with Him that changed his life.

In this series, Ken will share with you the pathway that the Lord used to walk Him into a sense of wholeness, God-confidence, self-love, meaningful same-sex friendships, and proud ownership of his masculinity. No two journeys will be exactly the same, so Ken will lead you into forming your own intimate relationship with God and point you to the key areas where God may be wanting to meet unmet needs or bring healing to wounds.

Those who focus on changing their same-sex desires don’t seem to ever get there. But those who whole-heartedly mine deep intimacy with Father God find deep fulfillment in life and position themselves to receive from the One who has promised to meet our needs and answer our prayers.

The Church will never have authority against the sexual chaos in our culture until it lives out Jesus’ sexual ethic itself. We can establish a healthy environment by restoring our understanding of family as it applies to protecting one another’s dignity and therefore their sexuality. That is, we must lean into the Great Command and love as Jesus loved.
